World Card Making Day

Did you know that yesterday was World Card Making Day?  I  don't know  about you but I love making cards with all my leftover scraps.  I don't like anything to go to waste especially when it is beautiful pattern paper.  So when all I have are scraps I make a card.

So in honor of this special day I thought it would be fun to have a *bonus* card sketch for everyone.  This is NOT a challenge.  It is  just something fun!

Here is a sketch that I made for World Card Making Day.

Here is my take using my scraps from the awesome September Kit.

I simply layered a couple of my  October Afternoon  5 and Dime scraps along with a Basic Grey scrap.  I then  added a cut tag from my stash and I was done!

We would love to see your cards using the above sketch. You can post your cards on our Facebook page or here on the blog.  I can't wait to see what you all create!  Remember have fun!

  1. I'm inspired. I've committed to doing one card (and mailing it) a week for the next year. I've saved the sketch to work on today. Thanks

  3. My BF is preggo and her shower is 1-1/2 months away. I've been working on some handmade gifts for her. I just finish a mini album for her today and I have been thinking about what the card should look like. This is the perfect sketch.

  5. I just love this sketch. I completed my card and hoping the weather clears up a bit so I can take a good picture.
